NOTR - The Sure Word of Prophecy - 9.12.17

Today's Show: THE SURE WORD OF PROPHECY - 9.12.2017

Chris discusses the Second Epistle of Peter and his admonition to the Church concerning the "sure word of prophecy" that we are encouraged to heed, as a light to guide us during our time on the earth.  The Apostle mentions prophecy right before warning about false teachers in the churches, and warns that they will make "merchandise" of believers.  How has this warning been manifested in the pages of history past and present?  And how is prophecy understood in our time, in contrast to how it was seen centuries ago?

NOTR - The Washington Post & Satanism - 9.7.17

Today's Show: THE WASHINGTON POST & SATANISM - 9.7.2017

The Washington Post has published an article in which the author (a founder of a Satanic temple) is clearly promoting Satanism.  Is this the natural progression of the Marxist movement in our country?  We consider the connections between Karl Marx and the early Communist revolutionaries who often promoted Satan as the original rebel against God.  While Marx himself is often viewed as an Atheist, the reality is that he used Atheism only as a weapon to fight against "the One Who rules above."  Will the radical left now begin promoting the open acceptance of Satanism in their pursuit of undermining the free world?

NOTR - Calvin on the Papacy - 9.1.17

Today's Show: CALVIN ON THE PAPACY - 9.1.2017

Chris discusses the teachings of Calvin on the papal system.  According to the Reformers, when did the papacy really begin?  And what are the key elements of opposition between papal doctrines and the Bible?  When we consider the role the Vatican plays in modern times, especially because of the ecumenical movement where many evangelicals travel to Rome to meet in fellowship with the Pope -- it is important to understand what the leading churchmen of the past believed about the office of the Bishop of Rome.  Can this be an important key to understanding why Western Civilization is in peril today?

NOTR - The Progress of Tolerance - 8.30.17

Today's Show: THE PROGRESS OF TOLERANCE - 8.30.2017

Chris discusses the concept of tolerance in the modern world, showing its origins in history.  In the Middle Ages the idea of "general toleration" was sometimes promoted by Rome as a weapon of subverting Protestant countries.  Could this have something to do with how toleration has progressed in the United States?  Also discussed is a Muslim woman who is reportedly being lauded by the UK's Channel 4.  The woman says she has a masters in law and describes herself as an anti-colonialist Islamist.  Will she be opposing her fellow Muslims for colonizing dozens of countries around the world?

NOTR - Robert E. Lee & His Slaves - 8.25.17

Today's Show: GENERAL ROBERT E. LEE & HIS SLAVES - 8.25.2017

Chris discusses some of the current controversies surrounding Civil War monuments, in particular, those of General Robert E. Lee.  The left has fanatically demanded the removal of statues honoring Lee because he was a former slave owner who served in the Confederate Army during the war.  While the radical leftists claim his memory is offensive to the black community, was this the case in the 19th century?  We consider the testimony of Rev. William Mack Lee, who was the body servant of General Lee, and who served as his cook during the Civil War.  In his autobiography, he wrote: "I was raised by one of the greatest men in the world.  There was never one born of a woman greater than Gen. Robert E. Lee, according to my judgment."  The former slave declared that the general had freed his slaves some ten years before the Civil War, yet they all chose to remain on the plantation.  After General Lee's death in 1870, his former servant received an inheritance and used the money to pursue his education and later work as a Christian minister.

NOTR - Uproar in Washington - 8.23.17

Today's Show: UPROAR IN WASHINGTON - 8.23.2017

Chris discusses the dramatic changes happening with the Trump Administration, now that Steve Bannon has departed.  Bannon has said that the Trump Presidency that he fought for is now over.  What exactly did he mean by this?  Furthermore, Breitbart News continues to report its suspicions over H.R. McMaster (the White House National Security Advisor) and his views of Islam.  McMaster is said to have endorsed a book that "advocates Quran-kissing apology ceremonies."  Will President Trump change his policies towards radical Islam?  With the continued rise of the left and its Communist agenda, what will all this mean for the future of America?
