Today's Show: VATICAN TO OPEN ARCHIVES ON WWII - 3.6.2019

Chris discusses a new story about how the Pope has announced the Vatican will finally open its secret archives from World War II next year in 2020.  For decades, the Jewish community has desired to see the Vatican’s records during the reign of Pope Pius XII (a.k.a. Hitler’s Pope) because of the suspected collusion between the papacy and the Nazis during the war.  Some sources today have argued that Pius XII was a hero who helped Jews escape persecution. However, back in 1999, the book “Hitler’s Pope” by John Cornwell told a different story, charging the war-time pope with anti-Semitism.  Also French author Edmund Paris recorded the relationship between the Vatican and Nazi Germany, and that “national-socialism was born purely and simply out of Catholic ideas” during the 1930’s.

Chris discusses the Green New Deal and the fact that it is being promoted by the Jesuit Order in their America Magazine online, calling for the deal to be “improved” and not mocked.  They go on to reveal that the elements of this radical proposal are in agreement with the Pope’s encyclical letter “Laudato Si” published by Pope Francis in May 2015.  Also discussed is the professed “Catholic faith” of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez whose writings were published by the Jesuits even prior to her election to Congress.  According to America magazine, she is furthering the Papal agenda.  The radical environmental program appears to be the latest and most extreme attempt at a Socialist totalitarian power-grab by the Democratic party, which would allow them to control virtually everything, since every thing is affected by the environment.

(2 Corinthians 1:20). Today, we discuss a variety of Scriptures on the subject, examining according to the teachings of the New Testament how the Apostle Paul taught the Church to comprehend the promises of God.

Chris discusses the advance of the transgender movement as a new story has surfaced of a woman who was arrested in the United Kingdom for “misgendering” a man who lives as if he is a woman.  Calling him a “man” when he dresses as a woman is considered a crime in the U.K., as it has also become in the state of New York and in California.  What is the ultimate goal of the LGBT movement where this is concerned?  Also discussed are Nancy Pelosi’s comments about Trump’s proposal of declaring a national emergency in order to fund the Mexican border.  Pelosi warned that a Democratic president could also declare a national emergency over the issue of firearms and the second amendment.  Was she warning of a future attack on the right to bear arms in the U.S.?

Chris plays the audio from a speech given years ago by famed British intellectual and Labour Party leader, Michael Foot, who warned of the dangers of surrounding the power of the vote to the European Union.  While Foot was considered a brilliant orator and man of deep principles, he was also an Atheist and a Socialist.  Perhaps well meaning, but clearly misguided, as many on the left continue to be.  Mr. Foot argued principles of “liberty” while rejecting the original source of liberty, which is the Law of God.  The situation in Britain and the United States begs the question: should non-Christians be permitted to hold government office in historically Christian countries?  What does the Bible say about the requirements for leaders?
