Today's Show: TRUMP & SAUDI ARABIA - 5.22.2017

Chris discusses the recent trip taken by President Donald Trump to the kingdom of Saudi Arabia.  The Trump Administration has announced a multi-billion dollar arms deal with the Saudis, which will allow them to build up their military forces.  But is this a wise agreement?  Critics argue that Saudi Arabia has financed the promotion of Wahhabi Islam (the most extreme form of Muhammadism) in countries throughout the world.  Also, most of the hijackers on 9/11 were from Saudi Arabia, and it is reported that their funding most likely came from their country of origin.  We consider that when the once Christian city of Constantinople fell to the Turks in 1453, it was largely because the Muslims had obtained weapons of mass destruction from a Western engineer.  Could there be a danger in providing arms for a country that may one day become a future enemy to the United States?

Chris discusses Romans chapter thirteen in light of events happening in our world today.  This particular chapter has been used in times past to convince Christians that they should obey government in nearly every circumstance, even if the government is given to wicked and lawless behavior.  The classic example is what happened in Nazi Germany during the twentieth century, and how churches were compelled to cooperate with Hitler, in spite of the injustices carried out.  Yet this same issue was present with early American colonists during the years just prior to the War for Independence, and a famous sermon by Jonathan Mayhew on "Romans 13 and Submission to Higher Powers" clarified that the responsibility of Christians was to government that operated as the "minister of God," as the Scriptures declare.  From this sermon is said to have come the phrase, "Resistance to Tyrants is Obedience to God."

Chris discusses a new story from the Gatestone Institute about Germany's recent attack on property rights, reportedly "confiscating homes" to use for the continual flow of migrants into that country.  The systematic destruction of private property ownership appears to be advancing in different parts of Europe in order to accommodate the imposed Muslim invasion, promoted by the globalists.  There can be little question that the principles of Socialism and full blown Communism are at the heart of it.  But can there be any hope for Europe as long as the people and their leaders refuse to turn back to the Christian faith, and rightly honor the God of Creation?

Chris discusses the teaching of the Apostle Paul in the first chapter of Romans, and how this relates to the condition of America today.  The opening chapter of Romans details the decline of the Gentile world that had once known God, but then exchanged the truth of God for a lie.  Their stubborn betrayal of the Creator ultimately caused them to be given over to increasing levels of depravity and ruin.  Is the United States facing the systematic decline described by Paul in this epistle?  Is the Western world currently falling into the trap that has corrupted civilization since ancient times?
