NOTR - Remembering The Gunpowder Plot - 11.8.17

Today's Show: REMEMBERING THE GUNPOWDER PLOT - 11.8.2017

Chris discusses the 412th anniversary of the Gunpowder Plot of 1605, remembering when Guy Fawkes, the most notorious criminal in British history, planted dozens of barrels of gunpowder beneath the houses of Parliament with the intent of blowing up King James I and the Protestant government of England.  While modern historians have revised the history, the original accounts show that the Jesuit Order was at the very heart of the plot, which is remembered in poetic form even to this day.

NOTR - 500 Years of Reformation - 10.31.2017

Today's Show: 500 YEARS OF REFORMATION - 10.31.2017

Chris discusses the fact that October 31st 2017 marks 500 years since Martin Luther nailed his 95 Thesis to the church door in Wittenberg, Germany and set off a movement that would turn the world upside down.  On the other hand, it has been almost 500 years since the launch of the Counter Reformation by Rome, primarily through the Jesuit Order.  Since 1540, the so-called Society of Jesus has developed a wide variety of subversive tactics and doctrines that continue to afflict the Christian world even to this day.  But with many of the well known criticisms of Luther, Calvin and other Reformed teachers, what was the overarching message they communicated to the world?

NOTR - Luther, Hitler & The Great Reformation - 10.29.17

Today's Show: LUTHER, HITLER & THE GREAT REFORMATION - 10.29.2017

Chris discusses the upcoming 500th anniversary of the Protestant Reformation.  While Protestants and Evangelicals around the world are counting down the hours and minutes until the day arrives, there are some modern Roman Catholics who still believe Luther was a corrupt teacher who wrongly divided the Christian world, and even influenced the likes of Adolf Hitler.  Such is the tale being told by a Polish Catholic filmmaker in an upcoming documentary about Luther, to be released in November.  But are modern Catholics attempting to deflect attention away from the fact that Hitler was a professing Catholic himself, and that it was the Church of Rome that gave him his totalitarian power in Germany?  At least, according to Cambridge scholar, John Cornwell -- who is also Catholic.

NOTR - Islamophobia: Doorway to Sharia - 1.30.17

Today's Show: ISLAMOPHOBIA: DOORWAY TO SHARIA

Chris discusses a new story about how Canada is progressing towards outlawing so-called "Islamophobia" -- the allegedly irrational fear that causes people to speak against Islam.  In America, the Democratic party also attempted to pass such a law with H.R. 569 that would have condemned "hateful rhetoric towards Muslims in the United States."  While this attempt at imposing a covert form of Sharia has been shelved in our country, it appears to be making headway north of the border.  Could such a law eventually be adopted in America?

NOTR - Jesuits & The U.S. Government - 8.3.16

Today's Show: JESUITS & THE U.S. GOVERNMENT

Chris discusses some of the history of the Jesuit Order and the current influence of their Alumni in the government of the United States.  According to the Association of Jesuit Colleges and Universities (AJCU) website, there are currently 49 Jesuit Alumni serving in the United States Congress.  How might this impact the upcoming election, now that Hillary Clinton has chosen a Jesuit educated VP candidate?  In the 19th century, historian J.A. Wylie warned of the influence of this society in Great Britain, and set down lessons that may prove valuable to understanding our nation's condition today.

NOTR - Hillary's Jesuit-Educated VP Running Mate - 8.2.16

Today's Show: HILLARY'S JESUIT-EDUCATED VP RUNNING MATE

Chris discusses Hillary Clinton's choice for a Vice Presidential running mate -- Tim Kaine, a Jesuit educated junior U.S. Senator from Virginia.  Kaine comes from a devout Catholic family, and was not only educated by Jesuits, but worked in Honduras as a missionary for the Jesuit Volunteer Corps.  His Jesuit affiliation is being openly proclaimed in the headlines, and it appears he has been chosen to "balance" Hillary's ticket.  But could this be an indication that elitist powers are determined to have Hillary elected in November?
